Brilliant but troubled Shallan strives along a parallel path. The secrets she needs can be found at the Shattered Plains, but just arriving there proves more difficult than she could have imagined.
Meanwhile, at the heart of the Shattered Plains, the Parshendi are making an epochal decision. Jag har alltid gillat Sandersons böcker, men den första i denna serie var sisådär, men jag godtog det och beslutade mig att läsa vidare i serien för jag antog att den var lite seg och svår att läsa för att det var första delen i en stor high fantasyepos och då behövs mycket förklaringar för att bekkriva en stor och komplicerad ny värld och det måste ske innan man kan börja skriva om handlingen som sker, och efter att ha läst denna förstår jag att det var det som gjorde att jag inte helt gillade att läsa första delen för i denna del var spänningen och intresset på topp för att hela tiden få veta vad alla karaktärer och handlingar skulle höra ihop och på vad som skulle ske med dem och allting.
Jag gillar som sagt Sandersons böcker och det beror mycket på att han skriver lättfattligt även om det är en komplicerad historia som han skriver som här, och nu ser jag bara framemot att få läsa vidare om Shallan, Kaladin, Syl och de andra.
