 Jag har lånat en hel del böcker och jag känner att jag kommer inte hinna läsa alla innan jag ska lämna tillbaka dem så jag tänkte att jag läser första kapitlen för att se vilka jag ska läsa först om jag nu skulle hinna med alla annars är det ju bra att veta vilka jag helst vill läsa.

The year is 2380. The Intersolar Commonwealth, a sphere of stars some four hundred light-years in diameter, contains more than six hundred worlds, interconnected by a web of transport "tunnels" known as wormholes. At the farthest edge of the Commonwealth, astronomer Dudley Bose observes the impossible: Over one thousand light-years away, a star... vanishes. It does not go supernova. It does not collapse into a black hole. It simply disappears. Pursued by a Commonwealth special agent convinced the Guardians are crazy but dangerous, Johansson flees. But the danger is not averted. Aboard the Second Chance, Kime wonders if his crew has been infiltrated. Soon enough, he will have other worries. A thousand light-years away, something truly incredible is waiting: a deadly discovery whose unleashing will threaten to destroy the Commonwealth... and humanity itself. Could it be that Johansson was right?

Fick tips om att läsa något av författaren av sci fi bokklubben. Hade tankar på det redan innan.

Tyvärr gav det inte så mycket mersmak, förstår inte riktigt vad det handlar om. Men fick lite parallella världar eller tidsresa? Lite intresserad då det är element jag gillar.

 Efter att ha läst vad den handlar om så kanske är intresserad läsa mer. Ett helt stjärnsystem går svart? Vad och vem är det som gör det?

Mystisk ung man. Prins med förbjuden magi. Vad var det för skepp. Vem är Athlen. Många frågor som jag blir intressead av då jag läste första kapitlet.

VDNKh is the northernmost inhabited station on its line. It was one of the Metro's best stations and still remains secure. But now a new and terrible threat has appeared.

Artyom, a young man living in VDNKh, is given the task of penetrating to the heart of the Metro, to the legendary Polis, to alert everyone to the awful danger and to get help. He holds the future of his native station in his hands, the whole Metro - and maybe the whole of humanity.

En bok jag velat läsa länge, men nu kändes den inte så bra när jag provade den. Visst kul med rysk dystopi. Och jag vill veta vad som har hänt och vad som ska hända.

Novellsamling. Den första Arrival har blivit film. Jag gillar att den har biblisk bakgrund, retelling med Babels torn att det byggdes för att rädda människorna?

Så är intresserad av vad som ska hända.

Kontakt är romanen om mänsklighetens största äventyr, det första mötet med utomjordiska intelligenser.

I december 1999 färdas en internationellt utvald grupp vetenskapsmän till stjärnorna och till ett möte som är det mest ödesmättade i historien. De har lockats till denna färd av ett meddelande som fångats upp av jordens radioobservatorier; de vågar detta i tro att en civilisation som nått så långt främlingarnas måste vara fredlig - annars skulle den ha förintat sig själv för länge sedan. Men budskapet ger ingen garanti om detta. Budskapet ger bara anvisningar om hur man bygger en maskin som kan föra dem till stjärnorna - och förhoppningsvis tillbaka.

Jag läste 10 sidor av 432.

Hmm blir mer förvånad över att jag tror det kan bli ett så högt betyg. Men jag fattade tycke för lilla superintelligenta Ellie. Och förfasas över vilken styvfar hon fick, förnedrar och trycker ner istället för att lyfta upp och berömma.

Men det är ju det och konflikten som gör att jag vill läsa. Ser redan nu att Ellie kommer att göra en hjälteresa.
