Jag gillar den här serien med sin fantasystuk från en tid som jag gillar att läsa om,  runt 1920-talet i USA. Tycker om karakärerna men den slutar mitt i som en upplösning, eller då det är som värst i handlingen och jag är väldigt nyfiken på hur det ska gå. De är splittrade både personligen och i platserna i handlingen. Så jag ser framemot att få läsa slutet i nästa bokdel, fast det känns även lite ledsamt att inte få hänga med de här karaktärerna längre.

Den här boken hade jag hört talas om innan den var nämnd som Alice från The Bookcastle på Youtube som en av hennes favoritböcker från 2023 som avgjorde att jag skulle läsa den och jag valde att lyssna på den.

Det var kanske inte bokens fel att jag ibland var okoncentrerad då jag lyssnade på den och somnade i från den, det var nog mera mittt egna fel.

Fast jag tyckte den inte var så där jättebra, hade hoppats på mer. Den innehöll mycket intressant mytologi och världsbygge. Och jag gillade sättet med hur den var berättad med den manliga historieberättaren och det med diskussion om hon ville berätta historien som hon gjorde. Svårt att förklara vad jag menar för er som inte har läst den, ni som läst förstår vad jag menar.

Jag gillade även transgender representationen som fanns i den.
