Jag läste Kyssfaktorn av författaren för något år sen, men sen verkar det inte som hennes andra romance-böcker inom samma familj inte verkar bli översatta till svenska så valde att läsa denna del på engelska.

Sen är det en fin kärlekshistoria om Esme, som har sina problem med en fattig uppväxt och som ensamstående mamma i Vietnamn, och Khai som är en ung autistisk man som behöver förstå sina emotionella känslor för just Esme, och lite annorlunda med just den aspekten där ena parten har en diagnos som i sig kan ställa till det för kärleks-paret.

Helgfrågan vecka 18 / 2022 - men ändå inte utan istället läsa Årets bok tillsammans med Mia och andra

 

Jag brukar oftast, men inte alltid, ibland hoppar jag över att skriva ett inlägg om Helgfrågan och det är då det är frågor som är mindre aktuella för mig, har inget svar för jag brukar inte göra eller ha något svar på frågan för tillfället, så är det med denna helgen, jag har inte något bra svar på någon bokkaraktär som jag känner mig lik....

...men sen såg jag ett annat inlägg som Mia hade på sin blogg som jag tyckte lät kul, och det var att vi skulle läsa Årets bok nomineringarna tillsammans och lämna länkar hos henne, och det tyckte jag lät intressant, för ett par år sen läste jag och Evelina de böcker som var nominerade till årets bok tillsammans och diskuterade dem, och det var kul men sen har det inte blivit så på några år, mest för att böckerna inte har känts tillräckligt intressanta att läsa men i år tyckte jag flera av böckerna lät som sådana jag skulle vilja läsa, så nu har jag tänkt att jag ska försöka läsa dem och se vad jag tycker och se om jag håller med senare i år om rätt bok blev vald till Årets bok.

Jag bara gissar nu, men jag tror inte jag är ensam om att ha en del böcker i hyllan som stått där i evinnerliga tider. Är det inte dags att de där, halvt, bortglömda böckerna får ta lite plats och synas? Jo, det tycker jag. Verkligen. Denna bok valde jag att köpa då jag har lyssnat på författarens och hennes systers podd You´re never going to read this finns på Storytel men de har inte gjort några nya avsnitt sen augusti 2020, men jag följer även systerns Justines Youtube-kanal, I should read that.

Sen gillar jag böcker som utspelar sig under andra världskriget, så jag vet faktiskt inte varför jag inte läst den ännu...

Romance / erotik jag läste under April-månad / 2022

 För i år har jag börjat skriva ett inlägg månadsvis som jag inte har gjort förut, och det är vad för romance/erotik-böcker jag läst under månaden, som jag inte tycker att jag kan skriva ett helt inlägg för ensiklt, just för att det inte är något som jag känner är tillräckligt "fint" att skriva om eller att jag inte har tillräckligt att säga om var bok så att säga.

Ett par böcker som ändå fått egna inlägg denna månad är Smash & Grab och Bride test (den sista har ännu inte fått sin recension publicerad på bloggen men det är på väg).

Vad jag läste, såg och hörde på under vecka 17/ 2022

Jag har läst en hel del under veckan men sen även fastnat i att se på serier, så tiden har väl inte gått till läsning alla gånger då jag egentligen behövt läsa, men hoppas på att det ska bli bättre dagarna som kommer med läsningen.

Förutom lite booktube har jag alltså sett på TV-serier i veckan som Riverdale (1 avsnitt), Killing Eve (2 avsnitt och avslutat serien), Lucifer (3 avsnitt), Heartstopper (2 avsnitt) och Doctor Who (26 avsnitt och därmed up to date med serien).

Lyssnat på ljudböcker (ca 7 timmar och 45 minuter) och musik har jag gjort som vanligt.

Tiamat´s wrath & Leviathan falls (The Expanse #8 & #9) av James S A Corey

Har under April månad avslutat The Expanse serien med att läsa del 8 och 9, som faktiskt är rätt sammanhängande till att berätta slutet hur våra hjältar besegrar sina fiender och även till slut räddar mänskligheten från att försvinna.

Jag är helt nöjd med slutet, allt känns avslutat och jag tycker ingen karaktär blir förvanskad eller bortglömd i slutet och jag är helt tillfredsställd när jag avslutar min läsning, dock finns det upplägg till att jag skulle vilja läsa en fortsättning för att se hur det går nu efteråt, men författarna (det är en duo som skriver under psedunym) har sagt att det inte kommer att bli fler berättelser från deras sida.

Ett litet minus finns, det är en karaktär som vi inte möter igen sen slutet av del 6 som jag funderar över vad som hände med, som jag mycket väl skulle viljat få ett avslutande förklaring om, men i överlag är jag bara nostalgiskt glad/ledsen att detta space-opera-epos är slut nu.
