Just getting around the Bureau is a lesson alone for Amari with signs like ‘Department of Hidden Places this way, or is it?’ If that all wasn’t enough, every Bureau trainee has a talent enhanced to supernatural levels to help them do their jobs – but Amari is given an illegal ability. As if she needed something else to make her stand out.

With an evil magican threatening the whole supernatural world, and her own classmates thinking she is an enemy, Amari has never felt more alone. But if she doesn’t pass the three tryouts, she may never find out what happened to Quinton.

Det var för ungefär ett år sen jag hörde talas om denna bok första gången, och sen dess har jag velat läsa den eftersom alla verkade gilla den, så även om det är en barnbok passar den även att läsa för äldre läsare. Skulle tro att den här serien kan bli lika uppsakattad som Harry Potter.

Jag valde att läsa den nu i mars för Middle Grade March plus att jag valde att läsa booktuberns Gavins favoritböcker från 2021 (Läser böcker från mina favoritbooktubers favoritböcker från 2021 en för varje månad i år).

Blev inte alls besviken på den som jag sa den är bra och passar även äldre läsare än barn, gillar magistystemet och att den utspelar sig i en så kallad skola där de ska lära sig om magiska saker och hur de sedan kommer att bli som agenter som ska hålla koll på paranormala och supernaturala fenomen i världen. Sen finns det även mysteriet vad som har hänt Amaris bror och vad hon är då hon inte sen tidigare vetat om sina färdigheter.
