Seventeen-year-old Bianca Piper may not be the prettiest girl in her high school, but she has a loyal group of friends, a biting wit, and a spot-on BS detector. She's also way too smart to fall for the charms of man-slut and slimy school hottie Wesley Rush, who calls Bianca the Duff--the Designated Ugly Fat Friend--of her crew.

För flera år sen såg jag denna boken i en blogg där någon hade läst den, och sen såg jag någon filmtrailer för den och visste att den hade blivit film. Så när Evelina undrade om vi skulle läsa den tillsammans tyckte jag det var en bra idé.
Sen hade jag inte innan jag läste den förstått att den var så bra som den var, även om den som de flesta contemporary YA handlar om unga som finner kärleken, eller söker den och även har övriga problem. Men här fastnar jag för Biancas berättelse och vill se hur det slutar.
